Which Thermomix is suitable for pizza dough?
When making pizza dough according to the Thermomix recipe, as with traditional preparation, one thing is important: kneading. Anyone who has ever done the job themselves before baking knows how strenuous this process can be. Your Thermomix also works really hard for the pizza dough. It is all the more important that you choose the modern and powerful versions TM6, TM5 or TM31. Their powerful motors ensure that a lot of gluten is formed in the pizza dough from the Thermomix. The elastic dough seals in the air and ensures that the pizza base rises nicely when baking.
How much does it cost to prepare pizza dough with the Thermomix?
Pizza has its origins in the poor kitchen of southern Italy. Dough, some tomato sauce and toppings - depending on the recipe, the pizza can conjure up something wonderful from just a few ingredients. Even today, pizza is still the best choice if you want to feed a lot of hungry eaters cheaply. The cost of the pizza dough from the Thermomix is around 1.6 kilos of finished dough, which is easily enough for four large pizzas, just two to three euros.

Pizza dough quickly with the Thermomix
When making pizza dough according to the Thermomix recipe, your hard-working helper from Vorwerk will do most of the work for you. Pay close attention to the instructions and give the dough plenty of time.
Put the water, 500g flour, salt and yeast into the mixing bowl of your Thermomix® and mix the dough for 5 minutes on level 4.
Wait 30 minutes before moving on to the next step.
- Add the remaining flour and knead the dough for 5 minutes using the dough kneading setting of your Thermomix.
- Then put the dough in a large bowl for 12 - 48 hours and place it in a warm place covered with a cloth. Do the next step 2 hours before you plan to bake.
- Divide the pizza dough into 4-6 pieces and fold each piece of dough to form even balls. After another 2 hours of resting time (covered), the dough is ready for processing.
Tip: Spread the dough by pressing and pulling evenly with your fingers and set the temperature of your oven as high as possible. This will make your pizza particularly fluffy and crispy.
