Description
Kneading, stirring and chopping – the Thermomix knives are true all-rounders. But what is actually very helpful can sometimes still be annoying. Especially when cooking sous vide, the knives get in the way and can cut open the vacuum bags of the steaks. Potatoes or sausages can be damaged during cooking and pasta can get tangled in the knife.
Until recently, Vorwerk's wave was the option of covering the knife to eliminate the unwanted side effects of the knife. Thanks to Wundermix you now have a new, innovative alternative: The WunderCap. Unlike the shaft, no valuable space is lost with the WunderCap blade replacement. Because instead of simply covering the mixing blade, it is simply replaced by the WunderCap. This gives you 20% more volume in your mixing bowl.
The WunderCap can be used up to 120 degrees and is not suitable for frying.
This is how the alternative to the knife cover works
While Vorwerk's wave was considered a new innovation on the market to enable sous-vide cooking in the mixing bowl, the WunderCap revolutionizes knife covers. Because it not only covers the mixing blade, but also completely replaces it, thereby providing even more space in the mixing bowl. Simply take out the knife, insert WunderCap and set the Thermomix to the desired program.
WunderCap: Versatile
Delicate foods or vacuum bags during sous vide cooking, which could easily be broken by the rotation of the knives, were previously left on the knife cover. Now you have more space in the mixing bowl. Thanks to the new mixing blade replacement from Wundermix, you can use your Thermomix® even more effectively:
- You can cook larger quantities of pasta, potatoes or sausages
- Pasta no longer gets stuck in the knife
- Without the conventional knife cover, you have more space in the Thermomix, for example for larger vacuum bags when cooking sous vide
Advantages of the WunderCap compared to alternative knife covers
- Allows you to cook large portions without food getting caught in the knife
- Unlike the wave, for example, when transferring the dishes you don't have to worry about the knife cover falling out and making a mess, as the WunderCap sits firmly in the mixing bowl and has the same locking mechanism as the mixing knife itself
- The biggest advantage is that the lack of a knife means you now have even more space in the mixing bowl for your food: compared to the usual knife cover, you get 20% volume for free.
Mixing knife alternative for the Thermomix: Available for TM6, TM5 and TM31
The WunderCap is available in 3 different versions, each suitable for the Thermomix models TM6, TM5 and TM31 (please select when ordering!). Simply take out the knife and insert the WunderCap instead.
WunderCap is also compatible with the Thermomix Friend. Simply choose the WunderCap version that fits the mixing bowl (TM6 or TM5) that you use in the Friend.
