Goulash from the Thermomix

The classic that always works!

Geht immer: Gulasch aus dem Thermomix - Wundermix GmbH

Which Thermomix makes goulash best?

As with any stew, goulash according to the Thermomix recipe is all about maintaining the correct temperature and, above all, lastingly. The TM6, TM5 and TM31 models are particularly known for their precision and easy operation.

How much does goulash cost at the Thermomix?

In a certain respect, goulash is an exception. As is so often the case, the best or most expensive meat is not required here. When it comes to goulash from the Thermomix, the meat can be a little mixed and if the fat content is a little higher than you're used to, that doesn't matter. In the end, this only gives a better and more intense taste after preparation and ensures that the main dish with its spices, such as marjoram, is remembered for a long time. Expect an average cost of around 2.50 euros per plate. The true value can only be seen by how you and your guests like it.

Our goulash recipe for the Thermomix

You need the following ingredients for four busy eaters:

  • 500 grams of beef, preferably mixed
  • 3 large onions, halved
  • 2 tsp powder for broth
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 20 grams of vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5L water
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 50 grams of tomato paste

One step at a time: This is how you make goulash with the Thermomix

  1. Chop the onions in the mixing bowl for 5 seconds at level 5. Then push everything down with the spatula.
  2. Now add the oil and sauté the onions for 2 minutes in Varoma on level 2.
  3. Then add the tomato paste and steam for another 2 minutes
  4. Set your Thermomix to left-hand rotation, add the shredded beef and sauté it for 5 minutes at 120 degrees on the left-hand stirring setting.
  5. Then add the water and all the spices for your goulash. Cook the soup for 30 minutes at 100 degrees on the left-hand side.
  6. For the side dish, you can put peeled carrots and potatoes in the Varoma attachment for the 30 minutes that your goulash from the Thermomix takes to cook, or you can stick with the traditionalists and serve the delicious stew with a roll or bread dumplings.

If you are still not satisfied with the consistency of your stew after simmering, mix a tablespoon of flour in a little water without lumps. Then add this mixture to your goulash and simmer for another 5 minutes.

The longer you cook the meat, the more tender it will be. Real goulash connoisseurs swear that the delicacy tastes even better the next day when it is reheated. So feel free to prepare a large quantity.

Goulash is good. It is also a miracle mix.
