Apple pie with almond crust

Apfelkuchen mit Mandelkruste - Wundermix GmbH


  • 5-6 tart apples
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 300 grams of flour


  • 150 grams of butter
  • 100 g almond flakes
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of milk

Powdered sugar for dusting


Peel the apples and remove the core. Using a small kitchen slicer, cut into fine slices into the large mermaid and mix with the lemon juice. Now add the cream, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs and salt to the mixing bowl and beat for 1 min/speed 4 until fluffy. Stir in the flour, baking powder and lemon zest for 20 seconds/speed setting 4 and transfer. Rinse and dry the mixing bowl, now melt the butter in the mixing bowl and toast the almonds in it. Stir in the remaining sugar and milk and bring to the boil once. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Now spread the dough on the large round stone or the large oven wizard with the small spreader and cover with the apple slices and bake on the middle shelf for 10 minutes. Spread the almond mixture on the cake and bake for another 15-20 minutes. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar with the Streufix and enjoy the cake.
