You need the following ingredients if you want to prepare 200 grams of almonds in the Thermomix:

  • 200 g almonds, whole
  • 70g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 30g water
  • 50 g desiccated coconut
  • 100 g milk chocolate couverture, in pieces

In seven easy steps to delicious roasted coconut almonds with chocolate

  1. Place a large bowl (with a suitable lid) on the mixing bowl lid, weigh in the desiccated coconut and set aside.
  2. Place the almonds, sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon in the mixing bowl and heat for 6 mins/Varoma/counterclockwise/speed 1.
  3. Add water and heat for 9 minutes/Varoma/counterclockwise/speed 1.
  4. Remove the measuring cup and heat for 1.5 minutes/Varoma/counterclockwise/speed 1. The almonds should now be crumbly coated with sugar. Then place the almonds on baking paper and let them dry.
  5. Place the couverture in a clean mixing bowl, chop for 5 seconds/speed 10 and melt for 1 minute/50°C/speed 1.
  6. Add almonds and mix for 20 seconds/counterclockwise/speed 2.
  7. Place the coated almonds in a bowl with grated coconut, close with the lid and shake well. Then place it on a piece of baking paper and let it dry.
