Waldorf Salad

Waldorfsalat - Wundermix GmbH

Christmas is approaching and the smell of delicious cookies, chocolates and cakes is everywhere. You get the feeling that the bad calories are landing on our hips just by looking at them, so we calm our conscience today with a delicious salad #recipe from our book “Salads fresh and delicious!”

The Waldorf salad is an extraordinary mix of vegetables, fruit and nuts, with a sauce that is more of a dip. Sounds interesting, right? Plus, we can put almost everything in our #Thermomix® at once and the appetizer is already on the table!

Preparation: 5 minutes


  • 400g celery
  • 2 apples tart
  • 12 walnut kernels or other nuts
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of white pepper
  • 1/8 l cream whipped until stiff


Wash, peel and cut the celery into coarse pieces. Peel apples and cut into quarters. Place all ingredients in the mixing bowl and chop for 30 seconds/speed 4.

If you want the nuts to be finer, you should chop them up beforehand. Finally, fold in the stiffly whipped cream. Let the dough rest for another 10 minutes. Form bread and put it in the hot oven. (Or put the dough in a Tupper Ultra pot sprinkled with flour and bake with the lid on for 60 minutes, then drain and finish baking on the oven rack for 15 minutes.) Bake at 175°C for approx. 70-75 minutes.
