Bread is often the first choice, and not just for breakfast or dinner. Even if things have to happen quickly, we take action. So that it doesn't get boring, not only the topping varies, there are also all kinds of recipes for bread.
Today's #Recipe of the Week features a juicy and fluffy carrot bread that is child's play to prepare in the #Thermomix®. Tell us in the comments how you liked it.
Kind regards, your #Landhaus team.
Preparation: 5-10 minutes
Cooking time: 70-75 minutes
Waiting time: 70 minutes
- 500 ml hot water
- 150 g carrots, raw and peeled
- 1 cube of yeast or 1.5 sachets of dry yeast
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar
- 800 g spelled flour type 630
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 4 tbsp oil
Put water and carrots in the mixing bowl and mix 20 seconds/speed 8.
Add yeast, honey, spelled flour, salt and cumin and process for 3 minutes at the grain level.
Open the lid and let 4 tablespoons of oil spread around the edge. Now mix again for 30 seconds/bread setting.
Pour the dough into an oiled bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 60 minutes. After half the time, knead the dough once.
After it has risen, shape the dough into a round or long shape on the work surface and place it on an oven rack lined with baking foil or baking paper.
Let the dough rest for another 10 minutes. Form bread and put it in the hot oven. (Or put the dough in a Tupper Ultra pot sprinkled with flour and bake with the lid on for 60 minutes, then drain and finish baking on the oven rack for 15 minutes.) Bake at 175°C for approx. 70-75 minutes.
