Buttermilk Bread

If you want a simple bread with just a few ingredients, you are welcome to follow the #recipe for our buttermilk bread.

Fill all the ingredients into the # Thermomix® , knead, that's almost it. This bread can be modified as desired with 1-2 additional ingredients, so that you can, for example, make a great grill side dish out of it.

Delicious bread for you… from the Thermomix – A to M Volume 1

Preparation 10-15 minutes

Cooking time 35 minutes

Waiting time 30 minutes


  • 250 g wheat type 1050
  • 200 g sour milk or buttermilk
  • 200g lukewarm water
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar


Add all ingredients to the Thermomix® and knead for 4 minutes. If the dough is still too liquid, add another 50g of flour. When it has risen nicely, pour it into a loaf tin and bake in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes at 240°C and then another 35 minutes at 200°C

Pour the dough into a bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Then knead the dough a little, shape it and bake it in the Roman pot (or another baking dish) at xxx° for about xx minutes.


If you want it Mediterranean, you can add chopped olives and dried tomatoes.
