I can remember these small, fluffy, soft, sweet things that I bought in the supermarket years ago, long before I became a hobby baker, and ate them with love. They were called French rolls or something similar. Today, thanks to Thermomix, I make them myself. Best enjoyed warm...
TM5 – for 12 pieces
Ingredients for the dough
- 300g flour
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 40 ml milk
- 40 ml sunflower oil
- 1 pack of baking powder
- 90g sugar
- 100 g chocolate chips, baking stable
- 1 egg
Ingredients for spreading
- 1 egg or a little milk
Mix it
- Put all the ingredients for the dough except for the chocolate chips in the mixing bowl and knead for → 1 minute dough stage
- Add the chocolate chips and stir in → 20 seconds Counterclockwise rotation | stage 2
- Use the dough twister to place the dough on a well-floured work surface and knead briefly again
- Form into a roll
- Divide into 12 pieces and form into balls
- Place the 12 rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper or place them in a suitable form and brush with the beaten egg
- Bake in the preheated oven at 180 °C for about 20 minutes
