Our Simsafix is the all-roundThermomix-accessory of the year!

Even though it is mainly used for steam juicing, it also offers Simsafix many other functions and applications.
Our tips and tricks will show you completely new possibilities for what you can use your Thermomix can be used for. 

1) Melt chocolate and keep the mixing bowl clean 

For small quantities of chocolate, it is hardly worth getting the entire mixing bowl dirty.
Too much chocolate remains in the gaps, which can no longer be used and the cleaning effort is disproportionate.
Melting chocolate with Simsafix is simple, safe and a clean affair. 

This is how it works:

  1. Fill 1200g of water into the mixing bowl and Simsafix so that it floats on the water.
  2. Place the coarsely chopped chocolate in the Simsafix Place the mixing bowl lid on without the measuring beaker and heat for 30-40 minutes / 90° / level 1, depending on the quantity.
  3. Simsafix with the Thermomix-Remove with the spatula and process the chocolate as desired.

With the eyeball lip on the Simsafix makes precise dosing of liquid chocolate for decorating pastries and desserts child's play.
Simsafix The mixing bowl is cleaned in the dishwasher, emptied and wiped clean with a towel - done!

2) Simsafix as a cake tin

Until now, steam-cooked cakes were only known from the Varoma. 
The cake tin used for this must be the perfect size to qualify as a suitable Varoma cake tin.
With Simsafix you always have the perfect cake tin to hand and the Varoma is not even needed during cooking.

Cheesecakes, lava cakes or classic sponge cakes are best suited.
Cook a moist sponge cake with our recipe:

Here's how:

  1. Place 2 eggs, 60g butter, 1 tbsp milk, 60g sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 100g flour and 2 tsp baking powder in the mixing bowl and mix for 1 min at speed 4.
  2. Add flavorings, fruit, chocolate drops or cocoa to the batter as desired and fold in with a spatula.
  3. Simsafix Grease the bowl, pour in the batter and smooth out. Pour 1 liter of water into the mixing bowl.
  4. Cover with cling film Simsafix cover with cling film, wrap a piece of kitchen rubber Simsafix and place in the mixing bowl.
  5. Insert the mixing bowl lid and measuring beaker and cook for 60 minutes / Varoma / level 1. Simsafix After the time has elapsed Thermomix-remove with the spatula.
  6. Turn out the cooled cake and decorate with icing as desired.

3) Clean thing! Soap from Simsafix

Glycerine soap or pouring soap can be mixed with Simsafix can be melted cleanly and safely.
Melting directly in the mixing bowl is possible, but requires a lot of cleaning.

This is how it works:

  1. Pour 1000g of water into the mixing bowl, Simsafix and add soap in pieces.
  2. Put the mixing bowl lid on without the measuring beaker and cook for 10-20 minutes / Varoma / level 1.
  3. Add colorants, scented oils or flowers to the liquid soap as desired and mix.
  4. Simsafix with the Thermomix-Remove with a spatula, pour the soap into molds and leave to cool.

4) Pour candles with Simsafix

It is better not to melt candle wax directly in the mixing bowl.
The subsequent cleaning process is extremely time-consuming and laborious, while Simsafix simply cleaned in the dishwasher.
Wax residues can simply be poured into new candles.

This is how it works:

  1. Pour 1000g of water into the mixing bowl, Simsafix and add the wax residue in pieces.
  2. Put the mixing bowl lid on without the measuring beaker and cook for 10-20 minutes / Varoma / level 1.
  3. Add colorants or scented oils to the liquid wax as desired and mix.
  4. Place the wick in the prepared mold and pour in the wax.

5) How do I prevent condensation from getting into the Simsafix dripping? 

When cooking with Simsafix condensation forms and collects on the underside of the lid.
To prevent the liquid from getting into the Simsafix and water down the contents, we fold a strip of aluminum foil and stick it to the outside of the lid. Simsafix into the pot and feed it through the opening in the mixing bowl lid.
This allows the condensation to flow along the aluminum strip back into the mixing bowl and your Simsafix-food is not watered down.

6) Your Simsafix can even ferment yogurt!
