The SteamCover® filters vapors and odors quickly and effectively
In many households, the kitchen appliance is located under wall cabinets, which can be damaged in the long term by vapors and condensation.
In open-plan kitchens, the smell of the food being prepared often spreads into the adjoining rooms - and does not dissipate quickly.
To avoid all this, we at Wundermix have developed the new SteamCover® for MC "Smart" and "Trend + Connect" were developed.
What are the advantages over conventional extractor hoods?
Conventional extractor hoods usually work with activated charcoal filter inserts that have to be replaced regularly. In the long term, this generates a considerable amount of waste and is expensive.
In addition, these filters cannot completely remove grease, moisture and dust immediately after use. Instead, they are stored for months until the next filter change and therefore provide an ideal breeding ground for germs.

When developing the SteamCovers®, we deliberately decided against a solution with normal filter inserts: At Wundermix, we focus on sustainability and innovation. Our solution: water!
Water has the physical property of binding vapors and odors and is therefore perfect as a {{23908815dbb32a9a9a9cfd614e9ed69209}} vapor filter.
- The SteamCover® removes vapors and odors with its sophisticated water filter.
- It saves follow-up costs for expensive filter inserts, which have to be replaced regularly with conventional filter devices.
- Emissions that normally escape from the mixing bowl during cooking are dissolved in the water in the SteamCover® so that only warm air escapes into the environment.
- Fresh water is used for each use, so it does not store moisture or grease for months, as is often the case with conventional filter inserts.
- As the SteamCover® in the dishwasher, maximum cleanliness is guaranteed.
How does the steam filter for Thermomix work?
- Place the SteamCover® container on the mixing bowl lid.
- Fill with cold water up to the mark (1100 ml) and add a few drops of essential oil if required.
- Place SteamCover® lid on and lock by turning clockwise.
- Start the cooking process.
- Remove the lid and carefully empty the container.
