Mushrooms with bread dumplings

  • 8 pieces of rolls from the day before
  • ½ bunch of parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 30g butter
  • 120 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 onion
  • 50g butter
  • 600 ml water
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 2 tbsp sauce thickener or starch flour
  • 1 tbsp vegetable broth
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 350 g fresh mushrooms


Put the rolls from the previous day in two or three parts into the mixing bowl, turn up to level 6-7, chop and transfer. Chop the parsley on speed 5, then add the onion, butter and sauté for 1 min/100°C/speed 2. Pour in the milk, eggs, salt, pepper and nutmeg and cook again for 1 minute/90 °C/speed 2. Now pour the mixture over the shredded rolls and form dumplings. Place the dumplings in the Varoma®. Chop the onion for approx. 5 seconds/speed 3, add butter and sauté for 1 minute/90°C/speed 2. Now fill in water, put Varoma® on and steam for 30 minutes/Varoma®/level 1. Add the cup of cream (or milk), sauce thickener, vegetable broth (powder), salt, pepper and fresh mushrooms to the remaining liquid in the mixing bowl and cook with Varoma® for another 6 minutes.
