INGREDIENTS
Dough
- 250g butter
- 250g sugar
- 250 g flour
- 5 eggs
- 1 p. vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
filling
- 500 g applesauce
Decoration
- 400 ml cream
- P. Cream stiff
- 30g sugar
- tbsp ground hazelnuts, lightly roasted
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the softened butter in the mixing bowl and mix 1 min/speed 5 until fluffy. Now simply let the time continue (level 4) and gradually add the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Then gradually add the eggs, 1/2 minute apart, and finally the flour and baking powder. When all the ingredients are in the mixing bowl, continue stirring for another half minute. Divide the dough into 4 portions, place each portion in a 26 cm greased springform pan and smooth it out. Place the mold in the oven on the rack and bake with top/bottom heat for about 5-8 minutes (stick test) at 180° (preheated) hot air 160° (preheated). After baking, immediately remove the base from the mold and let it cool on a cake rack. For the filling, spread 3 bases with 1/3 of the applesauce each and place them on top of each other on a cake plate. Finally, place the uncoated base on top and press down lightly. Put the cream in the mixing bowl and beat until stiff. Shortly before the end, pour in the cream mixed with sugar. Spread the edge of the cake and the top of the cake with cream, pour the rest of the cream into a piping bag and decorate the cake with it. Finally sprinkle the ground hazelnuts over the top. Tip: If possible, prepare the cake a day in advance as it tastes particularly good when cooked!
