In our crinkle-fries, everything revolves around the great concertina bread. It can be sweet or savory, but is always a delight. Today we have 2 different #recipe versions for you on the blog. Of course, you can make both in the #Thermomix®, because the basic recipe remains the same.
If you are interested in our pleat primers, you can find the "Pleat Primer 1" and the "Pleat Primer 2" in our #Landhaus-Team online store.

INGREDIENTS
Base dough
- 750 g wheat flour
- 400 ml lukewarm water
- 1 cube of yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 5 tbsp oil
For the hearty version:
- 250 g herb or garlic butter, bought or homemade
- For the sweet version
- 150 g brown sugar
- 150 g margarine or butter
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the wheat flour, water, yeast, sugar, salt and oil in the blender jug and knead for 3 minutes/bread setting. Leave the dough to rise for 30 minutes and then roll out to the size of a baking tray.
Spread the soft herb butter or cinnamon mixture on top. Use a blunt pastry wheel to cut strips approx. 6 cm wide and fold them together like an accordion. Place the strips upright (cut edge facing upwards) in a baking dish. Leave to rise for another 20 minutes.
Bake the savory version at 180 degrees for approx. 40 minutes, the sweet version only 30 minutes.
