Whether you call them carrot cakes, blithe cakes, carrot cakes or Möhren cakes: Cakes with carrots are absolute classics in most families. The carrot cake as the perfect vegetable? Oh yes, that's the tip to all parents who have little Gemüse-Nörgler at home: The typical Swiss cake is an excellent place to hide vitamins.

TM5 – for 1 shape Ø 18 cm Additives for the dough

  • 5 eggs
  • 300 g carrots geschäl;lt
  • 300 g almonds
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 1 EL baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

 

Ingredients for the casting

  • 130g sugar
  • 400g Fresh food
  • 25g lemon juice

 

Mix It – the dough

  • Insert the top tube into the Thermomix
  • Egg separate and put the egg white into the mixing bowl
  • Whisk egg white and salt to a firm egg whisk → 3 min. | Stage 4
  • In a big bag
  • Pour almonds into mixing bowl and grind → 10 sec. | Stage 10
  • Carrots shavings, add to almonds in small pieces and chop → 10 sec | Stage 6
  • add pulp to vanilla, sugar, egg yolk, and baking powder and mix → 10 sec | Level 8
  • mass is now gradually and carefully mixed with the egg white until a loose dough is formed → 2 min. | Stage 2
  • dough put into greased springform pan
  • 45 minutes at 180 degrees bake

 

Mix it – the casting

  • Pulverize sugar in mixing bowl → 10 sec. | Step 10
  • Add fresh milk and juice and mix → 15 sec | Level 3
  • pour onto the cake and spread

 

Pimp it

How about pink cast iron? Simply add 1 strawberry to the cast.
